Well .21s have the same engine mounting dimensions as .15BBs so naturally they will fit. The .21 pipes also will fit I believe. If there were only more of these being raced, I'd get one. For now it's rc car nitro !

Thanks for verifying that Harko. Just think about. You can get these cars for a good price. Do a nitrodude mod. Add a .21 engine. Maybe swaps some parts out with high quality Serpent parts like maybe the drivetrain. I'd probably get a Touring car body for a sleeper look and add a foam bumper for added protection. This setup would definately scare the living daylights out of the racers at my track.

You can get the sedan bodies for it...the 235mm ones, but they are somewhat hard to find at some LHS. Other than that I stick to the lola bodies; they run best with them. Still I wouldn't get one due to lack of parts and lack of the class being run often.

Nitrodude - I'd like to copycat your mods. Can you please provide some info on how to do them?

Default neo attack

I am having some issues with my drivetrain on this car. I think when it was designed 5 years ago, the hottest motors were considerably tamer than they are now. my clutch is coming apart(spring broken twice) adjustment nut loosening (tried blue loc-tite so far it is holding but i haven't pushed it yet). the two speed is loosening up internally and i am chasing the sourse. i am taking it apart tomorrow but i have completely lost 1st gear. i broke the car in with a novamega sx-15 ev-4 ms concept 3 port . back in the day this was a hot motor. i also had zero problems with the car with this motor. I put my rbcx-15 6 port turbo murnan modified in and the car is coming apart! before i spend any more money on a new clutch and 2 speed i am seriously considering getting an 835. parts availability, durability, and a new clutch plus a two speed is around 150.00 new. an 835 is about 375.00 does anybody have any suggestions about which way i should go with this?

I would also go to a more updated car. Sure the NEO can fit other parts, but by the time thats done you basically spent more than a whole new kit. The Serpent would be a good choice.

If you can splurge, definately get the 835. You can alwys use the 835 drivetrain if you want to go back to the neo.

I just notice this thread. If any of you guys are interested in a neo attack roller lot me know. I have one that has been assembled but has never seen the track. It has been sitting around for a while but I think everything is still there. I will post pics this evening if interested.

Default 235mm drivetrain

Is it possible to upgrade the 1/10 235mm clutch and other critical drivetrain parts, to the 1/8 scale version?

I've got a Mugen Avance and was curious if anyone has tried this with the MRX3 or MRX4 parts....

yes the clutch for sure. the two speed also i am pretty sure. on the neo i know it can be upgraded to the 835 drivetrain.I just would rather spend the extra 150 on the whole car than just the drivetrain parts.
Andy thanks. i will take this neo apart tonight and see if the two speed is fixable. if not i might take you up on that.

Yes, it is upgradeable, Mr. Conder. I am sending Tom a parts list for the conversion, you will be happy to know.
