My 977 Evo came with the new split mount for the Otto engines, but I run Novarossi engines anyway, so wasn't needed.

I bought the 35th aniv 977 and by the second/third bag I am having extra parts. I got the manual online and did everything right. Also is the thumb drive that comes with it supposed to have something on it or is it supposed to be an empty 1.85gb drive? I am asking because there is nothing on mine, but the bag it was in says manual, but no such thing was on it.

Yeah Serpent do add a few extra bits and pieces in the kits. The anniversary edition has some extras included as well. The website says that it has the chassis stiffener, carbon aero discs, flex-set, brass chassis weight, alu servo saver, carbon transponder holder, alu wheel axles, and CVD's as standard which are all options over the standard evo car.

The thumb drive is supposed to have the manual, setups, serpent history and catalogs. If yours is blank perhaps an email to them would be a good idea so they could email you the missing files.

I know about the extra parts, but those are in separate bags. I mean in the regular bags I have a left over screw in one, and two cylindrical pieces with set screws left over and no place for them.

Don't worry about it. You'll have some spare screws left over during the build. Better to have a surplus than not enough

Post a photo of the cylindrical pieces you mentioned. I'm not sure but these.

I figured out what I missed. Directions do not seem to be as good as the 748. Kind of surprised the rear diff is locked on the 977. I emailed them about the flash drive, but just got the manual, not the setup sheets or the history...

No 1/8 track car has a rear diff. All are fixed rear axle and one way fixed front axle. That is the class standard!

Can someone with the 35th flash drive copy and send me all the files? Serpent only gave me the manual.

It's OK to use pliers, but it will be easier to adjust if you get the proper tool
