Most will just think the engine lacks bottom end power, the ROSSI in fact is the equal of any motor on the market in this area.
USE THE ROSSI 01201 pipe set for the R12.
rjl, I don't know if you got the right part number for the pipe set.

racer rich, I went to Rossi's site and they list a number of pipes and none of them match the part number rjl gave.

They only list the pipe set part numbers applicable as below;

02158 For R21 Car HP Efra 091
02160 For R21 Car HTS HTC Efra 9884

Anyway, it's at http://www.rossimotors.it/english/rossien.htm

Interesting note, they put their Pixy Black as being 1.45 hp and RPM at 38,000 versus 1.8 hp and RPM at 39,000 on Trinity's site.

ROSSI and NOVA ROSSI, they are two different entities.
The pipe to use is the ROSSI pipe for the 12. Trinity is the agent for ROSSI, contact them, ask for the maching pipe. It's possible that they have not brought the thing in to the US. If you intend running a ROSSI R12 PIXI then I would suggest you ask for this pipe.
Dave, tell 'em.

Without a doubt, it has the best balance of bottom and top of any pipe tested. The guys at the local tracks used to laugh, until we pulled on them off the corners and down the straights. It is also the recommended pipe on a certain other, often copied tuner's motor. Hee hee hee.
**** Straight!!!!!
my buddy got the Associated GT pipe on his traxxas nitro 4 tec and the thing is a rocket now, i used to smoke him easy but that pipe unleashes all the power from the motor! and it's hard to smoke him, the only way i keep up with him is with a ported motor i'll get it soon, by the way i live near crystal park i can be there in 5 min if i go 100mph

I have a pipe question. Which is better that novarossi pipe and header on a .15 Novarossi motor or a CVEC pipe on a .15 Novarossi motor? I know the CVEC isn't race track legal.

Default Pixi Black

why would anybody even be slightly interested in this engine?

I just saw one at our LHS yesterday which usually has very competitive prices and that freking little standard .12 cost $249 there, just as much as a JP modified Nova Rossi.

This is Mister Provetti for you. Claiming 1.8 hp for a 3 port .12 and ripping off all the fools that'll believe him.......

Maybe Trinity came out with their own dyno like they did in electric racing to scew their numbers so you couldn't compare between manufactures again. 1.8 hp my ASSSSSSSS!!

There is no readily available engine dyno on the market yet, that's why they can put those numbers out, nobody can proove them wrong.
And even if RC Car Action would dyno it, they'd never tell the truth since they depend on Trinity's advertising money.
