Thanks John, watching the whole event via RCRacingTV (great job) and seeing the vision Luke brought home, two thoughts kept repeating in mind...

1) A team driver is often subject to envy and can be isolated from his local peers. But when he wins a world title in his home country, it unites them all, they share in his victory and the envy of a few free parts diminishes and he/she becomes their pride of nation.

2) The way Luke tracked the cars with the camera only means one thing, arrange for a trip to RC addict and see what he can do on track and I'll take the camera.

i think ... this song "We are the champions" is most suitable for Meen Vejrak now.
This music video is for memories of him.

9Turbo, wonderful memories, great job, these images will last for a long time and you captured the best moments for the Thai people and others like me around the world to enjoy!! In the video, Luke, pointed out the VERY happy marshal at the end of the race.

Also, Luke would like to thank EVERYONE at RC Addict for making him feel welcome, my son had the BEST RC experience even if he didnt drive. It was a last minute idea after our national titles and Peter Jovanovic offered to take him as team assistant. Unfortunately I was busy copying 100 Terrabytes of vision on our servers at work otherwise both iof us would have come to see the IFMAR WC in action.

Luke returned home telling me how NICE everyone was and how helpful and welcoming the club was. Luke sends a SPECIAL thanks to Jarb, the guys in the hobby shop who helped him fix out HB TCX and allowed him to cool off playing GT5, trying to beat Dario's time.

For me, it means only one thing, a trip to Thailand with our cars and my camera to enjoy it for real and meet the guys at RC Addict personally and have a good time.

Thank you

h

PS: I had very little footage of Meen, I am very glad 9Turbo captured it :)

smith9turbo 11-22-2012 06:18 AM

blis, thanks you very much for all of your words.

Jarb, Tom, Joke are so nice guys. They like to help anyone that need for help.
on this event, i act as "Press". i get convenience so much from these guys.

and so sorry that i can't see your video, that first one be block, and the second very slow transfer speed (to my country).
i hope to see your video on youtube soon.
i think... your first video may block by soundtrack music. if you change music, it may pass youtube blocking.

welcome to THAILAND. The next hot event is TITC 2013 on Feb 22-24, 2013

When did LRP get back in the .12cc engine market? Anyone got any info on the new LRP .12 engine? I believe Teemo Leino used a LRP engine.

Darkstar900 11-23-2012 12:48 AM

Hi there.

LRP released this engine right after the Nuremberg Toy Fair in February 2012. I got hold of mine middle of march and after 25 tanks of running in, I hit the track for the first time with a decent tuned engine. It was very impressive and the power this engine has is really good. With a #2669 Sonic pipe I had runtimes of 5.20 - 5.40 mins. Very consistent and easy to tune. I was running this engine the whole year now and have around 10 liters of MLC fuel through it. I change bearings and conrod every 4 liters of running consequently, but there was hardly any play in the conrod bushing.
In total I have 3 LRP engines and all run the same. I am using them bone stock with no modification and everything is fine. Plugs I am using either Sonic or Picco #6. The same plugs I was using in my Reds engines before.

Cheers
Darkstar

25 tanks!, a Picco doesn't need that much!......

Darkstar900 11-23-2012 02:28 AM

With a Picco it can be different, but all my LRP got 25 tanks and everything is fine and even after 10 liter they still pinch at TDC.
