Gearing Questions...

I am a new racer...I was wondering for more control of my car...would I want a lower gear ratio or a higher? My driving is suspect and I need a stable car, my major concern is finishing the race.

if your local racetrack is kinda large track or highspeed course,you want gear it down to highspeed gear ratio.

if it is small and kinda technical you want your gear ration to gear up like short gearing ratio.
