Default Starter Box Question...Help???

I just got a Ofna Starter Box. I do not want to use a 12V batt. I want to use 2 Stick Packs. The Box came with this adaptor (Pictured) but I do not want to connect my stick packs because the brown wire with the connector connects the Pos & Neg on the stick packs?
Is this ok, or do I need to do some mods on this starter box?
Thanks

that adapter will wire the batteries in series, essentially making it a 14.4 volt (12 cell) pack. It is fine.
