Heard a rumor that a prototype might be at the Texas Biggie next weekend for testing. If so, can't wait to see it.

August no sooner as stated above. If you get the prototype then, wait at least six months to get the store version. Or look at the Technokit TK10 that car was spotted over one year ago and it's not out in the US yet.

Maybe we are not doing it right but the problem we get with the 2pseed is due to the strength of the steel balls that sit on the 2speed adapter. The balls loose their form and that's when shifting becomes inconsistent.

The 2 speed adapter is also weak - the balls eat into the sides of it creating a indent on the sides of the adapter. And because the balls are not round and get trap in these indents they start to eat into the sides of the 2speed shoe - which creates a larger than required room for the balls to sit nicely and they don't sit it properly any longer thus jams up the f****** 2 speed. Like i said we followed eveything from the manual and even added a light coat of grease on the surface of the adapater where the balls connects to ensure smoothness but the problem still occurs after a while. Someof the guys have tried other modidifcations like changing to stronger/durable ceramic or carbide balls or even larger ones like 4mm but it requires you to drill out the shoes so that the ball can sit it nicely.

Hope this sort of gives an explanation of the problem but will try to get some pics to so that you guys can see for yourselves.

If there's anything to share please do cos the balls are hurting bad!

I have had the same problems in the past with my two speed. The way I battled it was took a dremel to the 2-speed adapter. The flat part where the balls rest on. File it down flater from side to side until it longer than stock form. That way the balls never wear out the nut by making it smooth from constant shifting. Had the same two speed for over 7 month and still shifts constantly always!

I also had that problem with my two speed at the McCoy race a few weeks ago. While this is not an improvement, my two speed hardware was 10 months old at the time. I replace the adapter and the two speed hardware. I ran one a few tanks to seat everything and reset the two-speed and no more problem.

I think it's going to be a while before the MTX-4 makes it's way to our shelves. Seeing that the rumored release date of August, which is only about two month away now and still no pics, not even mugens famous cad releases.

I would say next Spring. They do not need a new car, they are still winning events.
