ASW: Yep... those disks made a frenzy on the MTX-3 thread and got flooded with people asking for one disk... remember that bought 10's of disks and sent them around the world. The guys on the LHS asked me what I was doing with the disks... LOL!.
O.K. last question how many grams does it weigh?

Ok... You caught me... Never bothered weighting it, but weight should be around the Mugen optional disk or lesser... need to find a scale and taking the opportunity of weighting it just because my 'X' is being built.

Does the MRX4 disc brake fit on the MTX4? If it does is it that heavy to cause a noticeable difference in spool up? To counter act that will LW shafts help?

Yes, but with little caution :

When you put into MTX4, the disc is slightly too big ( need dremeling underneath the top plate ( top plate brake holder ). AND, it almost touch the carburator ( my engines are novarossi ..... don't know with other engines ).

MRX4 brake disc actually is the same disc from MTX3 prospec.

KFactory G4S brake disc has smaller circumference.

Sometimes I use brake for hard corners, but my stock brake disc never feel sogging. ( I'm talking about braking activity during 45 minutes or 30 minutes final with a stock disc ).

this is why the ninja is so good for the mtx4 car,it fits perfectly
even the meshing and the side to side placement of the motor is perfect.

Yup, thanks for taking the time to respond. I'll try it.

Speaking of the ninja motor. After a lot of time spent trying to decide on a replacement motor for my aging 4 season old Novarossi, I opted for the grey head Ninja. Is there or are there any pointers you can give me on it???

That K-Factory disk is the drilled and slotted one? That one eats alive the brake pads, doesn't matter what you throw to them... the slots makes a big dent on the pads and last very little compared with any other disk.

The Kawahara one if they didn't revised it deforms by the pins (too soft material) and elongates the holes. Been there, used it and ditched it when I found my actual disk.

Square (or was Sato...) IIRC correctly made one that fit the MTX/MRX and was very nice and light.

Be cautious when using other maker's collete into Mugen flywheel. The shape and the length from other maker's collete might not perfectly match into Mugen flywheel.

You need testing, ...... original MTX3 & 4 collete will flush in into MTX3 & 4 flywheel.

Perhaps, the closest match comes from Team Magic G4S ( brass color like piston sleeve ).
