Don't worry ....... I already check it. Tank + Fuel line = 74cc.

The scrut teams are tough. They have all kind of tools to perform fair inspections. All cars must pass through inspection check before racing, and winners from the heat will be check again.

For those who still wandering about spur gears stripping syndrome. If you want...... Just read my spur gears and 2speed recipe in earlier post ( ..... if you want ).

Here is the fact : I DON'T change my spur gears and 2speed clutch during FEMCA 2007. Why so brave ? Because I have confidence they will work perfectly until I said so. Additional info: I haven't change anything since the last two races ( Last two races were 30 and 45 minutes finals ).

Of course, I always clean spray and oil the 1st gear one way before FEMCA, and always oil the clutch bearings every engine or centax rebuild.

I push my car & my brain very hard this time. In every corners, I close my eyes, make a wish, and apply full throttle at Apex point. Thanks to super grip condition, the grip is there. It's either the car flip or make it through that corner. .... So just blast it dude

In the past, my MTX3 will flip like a dolphin. MTX4 is just different animals

Ok today put on a new motor. Adjusted the clutch differently. More towards swaugers settings. Its certainly got more rip down low.

One thing though the final screw is backing out and letting the cb come out too far. As well the clutch is just baking hot. Pretty much matching the temp of the motor.

I now see the clutch bell has rubbed against the 2 speed housing. What do you guys do to prevent this or was this just because the cb was backing out?

I am glad to hear that you are doing well and that the car is working for you. I guess you made the right choice.

What tires are you running? In the photos of your car, it looks like Kawaharas. What shore?

In my car : I use bigger spurs and bigger pinions by 1 tooth. Bigger spur gears will slightly cancel out the effect of bigger pinions.

Centax clutch housing is very hot ? it's normal...... don't bother.

Instead, always listen to your engine sound when exiting a corner at full throttle, and observe how the car reacts to full throttle input. For examples:

(1). Very high pitch engine sound but with poor acceleration ( not snappy feeling ) means centax spring tension too stiff OR doughnut centax clutch shoe become thin OR centax clucth distance to clutch bell too far.

(2). Engine sound is singing like too rich ( feeling like super heavy car, unstable engine sound like too rich ) and you notice acceleration is lousy due to not enough high rpm, it means centax spring tension too soft OR centax clutch distance to clutch bell too close.

(3). The best clutch setup is very high pitch but the car can go ballistic ( better than snappy feeling ), and yet it still has some rpm to accelerate even more. That's is optimum power

It's Kawahara tyres with 37 shores ( morning ) and 40 shores ( afternoon onwards ).

So far so good.

Complete Heat 1,2,3.

Tommorow : Heat4, 1/32 final, 1/16 final. and 1/8 final.

Sunday : 1/4 final, semi final, main final.

I guest my level is 1/16 final ( not the car, it's the driver ).

Azri Amri from Team Malaysia will take MTX4 reign to the A Main Final guarantee

If you tighten down the screw and pull the clutch bell in and out, does it still touch the 2-speed housing? If so, you may have to add a 0.1-0.2mm washer between the pin that holds the clutch shoes and the bearing in the rear bulkhead - or move the engine a bit further in so it doesn't touch.

What motor do you have in the car now??

Omega motor modified by me. Its about as fast as the JLR. I call it the white dot...lol. Since I used white silicone filled crank. Ive got an ofna pipe on it too and it seems to scream with this new clutch setting. Awesome purchase too , got two full motors and like 2 full rebuild kits for $100.
