Gotcha. I use all the punch I can get especially for my track. The LW shoes will go on soon and more engine tuning will take place. Figured I'd get the Murnan Mod TZ setup for my other OS block w/ heatsink and use that when I get even better.

NJ-So even with the 25T pulley you still use softer fronts?

I went from the 24 to 25 pulley and thought it handled much better for me at my track.

rear tyers are always going to wear faster than the front just the nature of the bussines softer fronts seem to bring down the wear difference between front and rear it also depends on driving style im a very aggresive driver wich makes the rear to wear alot more then normal

Default just burned out my spur gear !!!

well , I was previously playing with my engine settings as I just completed brake-in for os 12tz 5 ports ...

I was still in process of getting a feeling of properly running engine , I took the car to parking lot , ignited it up , and after 2 minutes its felt like its running on neutral with some funky smelling around ...

so I closed the engine and my temp gauge showed 302f !

i was like what the heck , I took it for repairing at home and I noticed that the aluminum clutch gear got so hot that its burned both spur gear in place where its contacts... I opened the clutch and its looks like most of the parts overheated there , the ball bearings got some funky yellow colour even =/

well , I just totally rebuilt the car , cleaned everything out , replaced the spur gears and my question is , should I replace the clutch also ?

Is there some parts which can be damaged due this overheating ?

also , could this overheating happen cause of bad fuel ? ( I bought some local fuel for rc , no brand ) , yeah I learned my lesson ;p

I wasn't running the engine too lean , there was lots of smoke coming out from exhaust pipe ... hmm

p.s Please recommend me a place where I can buy clutch setups for mtx4 , I just found out my favorite online shop don't have it , please suggest !

Thank you.

I don't think you need to replace clutch shoe everytime after use. It's reuseable.

Stick to one brand of fuel. ( Different fuel needs different setting ). I cannot suggest a fuel brand. 16% nitro is minimum, 25% is maximum for .12 engines. 20% nitro is nice.

Don't use cheap fuel. Cheap fuel = Low quality lubricants.

Heavy smokes or Very thin smokes doesn't accurately tell your engine's optimum power. Use a temp gun, and set the engine to operate around 212 F - 248 F ( 100 C - 120 C ). Listen to crispiness while accelerating. Don't forget to properly set the centax clutch's spring tension. Not too soft ( engine bogging effect ) and not too stiff ( high pitch sound before the clutch enganged ). I usually set the spring tension at 0.8mm - 1.0mm

My R car has all 4 CVDs, thick vented brake rotor, all 3 rubber belts, and a multi front axle that can easily be converted from solid axle to a oneway with the use of pins and o-rings, it also has the finned aluminum engine mounts, new lower front arms and new front steering knuckles (or front uprights) The last two WC cars i built did not have these option parts. I was hoping that the R car would have the thicker rear shock tower and teflon brake pads but nope.
