I'v seen them used in the past, but most people I knew that were using them quit..............I don't know why, it is a good idea?

Also I wanted to post my opinion on the kawahara one piece engine mount vs the 3racing one piece engine mount. I like the 3racing for 3 reasons over the kawahara.

1. It allows access to opening the backplate , the kawahara covers it.
2. It seems it has more metal to be used when screwing in the lower screws.
3. Costs less , nearly 1/3.

But the kawahara was beefier , but I think the less bulky/beefy 3racing should work perfect.

If anyone wants a kawahara one piece engine mount , pm me. $25 shipped , brand new never used.

Default Thanks for the responses

I should be getting it Friday. We are having a Proseries race this weekend so I'll start assembly Sunday night.
These look pretty straight forward for assembly.
Any pitfalls I should know about?

i use the 3 racing one piece engine mount, no proble, the universals, i'd stick with mugens, these are the best on the market, period.
by the way looking for a nice and non expensive option for brake, I use the g4S stock brake disc, it's ventiladed, weights 8g and it;s 1.8mm thick,
compared to the mugen plain disc at 6g and 1mm thick, gives the pads that are very used more braking power
r version hiting the shelves in the states on second week of may
happy racing

Seisick - Is there any drag using the thicker disc brake? Are the stock pads sufficient?

Thanks again for the input.
How come these need/like the different engine mount? If heard this from several different people. Is it chassis flex? Gear mesh?

I use optional engine mount because the stock engine mount is 2 same pieces of metal. when I put my STS D3R in, the button of the engine cannot fit into the space between 2 engine mount pieces regardless which piece on the left or right. that is why I go with aftermarket (skyline) engine mount.
Not about chassis flex but simply to fit the engine int eh car.

I don't know about other but this is my case

no, the drag is determined by how tied you have the screws of the brake plates. using a thicker brake allows you to have brake even when the pads are very used, that{s why I siwtched from the stock one
I tried the mtx3 stock brake disc but those are way too thick, the prospec one that comes with the R is too heavy

happy racing

yeah, if using a sirio engine, the stock engine mounts have to be dremel a little bit

What is the MTX-4 World Champ Series kit? P/N MUG0050/1. I'm finding it in hobby shops but the Mugen web site dosn't seem to mention it. I'm told this is not a -4R.
What's up?

no man its not the r and its not dsplayed on mugen site. what it is is a slight improvement of the stock x4 and also a limited version brought out due to mugens recent world champ win.

it contains the usual stuff but also a bonus signed hat by fukada and it has different front arm geometry which is now on the r and was used at the worlds.
