Oops. I forgot I did use new pinion gears. Interesting I thought they were the same. Thanks for correcting it.

I've heard somewhere before than the alum pulleys can decrease the lifespan of the belts...and is this true? One person had experienced this so I just wanted to know. I really don't plan to do much to my 4 as I believe it doesn't need many items anyway. Still can't believe it will cost me $90 for front and rear universals for this car. Ah well so far the doggies(dogbones) haven't fallen out and no strip of the spur.

I switched over to the MSR ones, as they are lighter than the stock ones. I don't emember exactly how much, but I did switch only because they are lighter.

Aluminum pulleys will decrease the lifespan........I don't know for sure, but another reason for the aluminum pulley on the car is because of the pipe mounting spring wears against the pulley. With the stock pulley, when your car gets hit from the side and it will wear the outside edge off and allow the belt to fall off.

Hmmm, this has been covered a few times, but lets put it this way.... If it is rubbing, something is wrong, it could be a few things.

1. Gear mesh isn't set correctly,(engine isn't square)
2. the 2 speed housing has expanded due to the 2nd speed clutch is hitting too hard, and your 2nd speed is or will lock up on you.
3. worn clutch bell bearings.

rcfoolz and other mugen drivers. mount your pipe mount on the top of the top deck, this will eliminate any issues of the pipe spring touching.

see attached pic

even with a massive hit, it can never hit the pulley, as the spring section is above it now.
