But it is "in the process" and I personally think maybe 6 months we could see something , maybe earlier , maybe later. Theyve got to mass produce the parts so I think that would take a little after they get the car prototype ready then of course a few months of testing beforehand. So Id say 6 months or more. The price drop is just to keep it competitive and to probably move stock of the current model to prepare for the new one.

Also from the sounds of it , this car might be more than a few option parts. Could entail some different parts or thinking alltogether. That would be nice , but thats just my thoughts due to what I was told. Normally a new car if its just option parts is pretty ready available. Sounds like this is on the drawing board so hopefully something fresh comes out.

You guys have been talking about the 2-speed gap and I looked at mine the other night. I found that I have a 1mm difference between the diameter of the shoes and the inside diameter of the housing. But, that would actually mean .5mm because you divide it in half since you are measuring outside diameter vs. inside diameter. Is this the same way you guys figured it? And is this close enough? I haven't run the car yet so I have no idea how hard it will engage. I just want to try and set everything up as best I can before our first race. Thanks.

I'm still working on refining the measurements. I tried the original formula I posted and found that it is a little too tight, so I re-read what Jo had posted and it should be:

(inner diameter - outer diameter) / 2 = 0.2 to 0.3mm

This is just a starting point for the 2-speed shoes. Once you get out to the track, you will have to adjust it based on how the car shifts. Please keep in mind, that I haven't had a chance to test this yet.
