I have Ti screws holding my motor to the mounts. It hasn't come loose. You can use an anti seize lubricant though and shouldn't have a problem with it.

Ira, I just ordered the brass battery tray. When is a good time for us to break in that milling machine?

Ira, you haven't used it yet? I'd be a millin mo-fo if I had one. Right now I'm just a drill press, dremel freak. I can sand-drum my baby toes with my eyes close.

To those stripping alot of mugen gears. Check your clutch bell so it has zero or minimum play to the sides. My cousin's car was stripping a 2nd gear almost every qualifiers, and we found out that all 3 ball bearings were blown to pieces...

I have the integy original version. The only thing I dont like about it is that there is some slop in there. It might not matter because im not a pro and probably wont feel a 1/2-1/4 degree difference but from an engineer standpoint (senior mech. eng. major) it really bothers me. I think the reason why it ticks me off is because I am part of a team at school that builds formula cars for a collegiate competition. We measure things in 1/10,000'ths

I did check out JP's site for the setup station and it looks like theyre bringing out some hop up parts for the MTX4. It's design is similar to the older integy one but Im pretty sure their setup station will be more accurate due to the fact of tighter machineing practices (judging by thier engines). Also all the surface that contact each other have bearings in them.

I'm looking to get the Team Magic one tho, it seems like a better design and it will match with the TM F8 pit bag and setup board

On the third row of images, the center one is a view from the under of the car, look for the text below the image:

A70-75(T6) 3mm Main Chassis

Maybe you need a forged steel chassis. (j/k)

Maybe that is what they ran on the prototype.

So what is the general performance thoughts about the Mugen 4mm chassis. I have bought one but there is nothing wrong with my stock one at this point. Looks to me like having a little more weight down low might help...not to mention being stiffer. Of course stiffer is not always better.
