Exclamation

Are you sure your starter box is not wired backwards? Make sure the flywheel is spinning in the correct direction.

Default 3 racing blue gears, they are not round

FYI,

I tried a couple of 3 racing blue gears. I put on a new one and spin it. I notice there is a hop in a certain spot. I put on a new mugen gear and spin it. There is no hop.

At first I did not believe what people say about 3 racing gears not round now I believe them. If you don't believe me, put one on and spin it, you will see the hop.

Also FYI, after you run the 3racing blue gears for a few min, the hop goes away. The car feels the same as the more expensive mugen gear.

the 3Racing spur gears are useless, mate Fong got some in and they only lasted about a minute each for the first gears and for second gear ones a couple of tanks and they do hop aswell,

you probably ran the very early production. The later ones improved.

I haven't had any more problems with gear life on the MTX-4 than I did with the V-ONE RRR. Of course they're always those times when I forgot to tighten the motor screws. My only complaint is that the pitch is a little off. The new gears from the V-ONE RRR EVO are the corrct pitch for .8 pinions, but sadly they don't fit.

i've seen a lot of guys strip gears but i've yet to have that problem so far
i'm running the kawahara chassis on my car with motors with plenty of grunt
i've been told that when the pinions get a little worn to change them to new ones though.
i've been running the mugen gears not the 3 racing ones
only time will tell though
cheers
joe

i only spriped 1 gear but that was before i started using the mugen steel pinions which last ages, um to stop this from happening check your mesh by taking off the first gear housing and also make sure you clutch bell doesnt rub on the 2nd gear hosing, its all in the alingment of your engine / gear mesh

Strange..... I own MTX3 and MTX4 and none ever get stripping gears.

I race twice a month.
