Aloha Roger, thanks for your help during the Nats. Having great company in the pits made it all the more fun. We sure had a great pit area. The guys know how to have a crazy time. This was my second time at a Nitro Nats and I always learn something about my car and driving. Everyone should participate in at least one during their racing career.

I have heard(but not tried) that Acer bearings aren't that good. I have heard nothing but good things for the Boca bearings though. This is only the ceramics though. The hybrids are supposed to be very good also, but with a lower price.

I heard just the opposite. That the Boca ones aren't that good. I guess it is all who you talk to.

RCFOOLZ, you are probably right. I must have gotten my wires crossed somewhere along the line. Good thing I didn't go buy a set on that thought.

I've tried both. Both are great. Bocas are better buy for your buck. IMHO, I wouldn't waste anymore dough on another set. Like chook said, maybe for the clutch for durability. Otherwise, I didn't really see any added performance gains, but I do believe the Bocas shaved off a couple grams.

I bought some 3mm dowel rod made from carbon and made my own. Total cost=5.59 Most hobby shops with airplanes have it.

I had to do a little sanding to get them real smooth so they slid through the arms well.

They do break! If touch something hard enough (Had a car pull out in front of me going in the pits) it will sharder (fray) the ends and pull out. I now only use them in the front upper arms.

Great ides but there seems not to be enough material going into the pivot blocks.

Hope that helps.
