yellow
red; hardest most slip

???im confused because i was told before the red was the most bite, thats why it wears out quicker. but i am now told that it is infact what i listed above. is this right?
i think your have your info upside down.

No problem Jam Rock.

As far as the clutch shoes goes;
black-hardest
grey-softer
yellow-softer than grey
red-softest.

Being you in Australia, is very hard you can get one of those, is made by M-Mod who is in reality the European distributor of Mugen, maybe you can try to put your hands in one of those buying it on a European on-line shop.

Default maintenance

Whats the consensus on regular maintenance required to keep the MTX 4 running top-notch. Some of the things I have questions about:
How often do you change the oils in the diffs and shocks?
How often do you inspect the bearings?
How often do you break the car all the way down?

Weight depends alot on what electronics you use? Stock my car weighed 1765 grams and now weighs 1688 grams.

Diff and Shock Oils - Once every couple of races
Bearings - Clean and Lube after every race
Total tear down and cleaning - After every race

I dont know if anyone else is as anal as I am about cleaning the car part by part but its a great time to inspect for damage and wear. For bearings, i took the seals off and blasted the grease out then lubed them up with some high performance light machine oil and put the seals back on. I check them to make sure theyre not getting gritty. Shocks I usually leave alone unless I hear air in them its still good to rebuild them with fresh fluid and new seals.

I change the oil on diffs and the shocks ever few months, all depending on how much I've raced. But as a guide, each 2 months or so... probably the shock oils are changed at races.

On each teardown.

After every race as a routine for cleaning. I inspect everything and change parts as needed.

Do you guys tune your clutch in the car, or do you remove the engine? I am having trouble getting my shift point correct on the car. Is it possible to have the clutch spring too tight, that the car will shift into second way to soon do to engine rpm? The shift point feels ok when the car is rolling, but if i gun it from a stop it seems as if my rpms may get a little high and the car shifts too soon. Is there anyway to adjust the clutch externally? How do you guys lock the flywheel, when you work on the clutch in the car? SOrry for all the questions!
