Slo, try this: (starting from stock settings)
-37s tires
-front 59-60mm
-rear 61-62mm
(if you run a 30min main go to a 3-3.5mm split - round off edge of tire)
(if you traction roll, cut the outside edge of front tires at a 45 degree angle)

-front ride height: 5mm
-rear ride height: 6-7mm
(sounds high, but you want the car to roll more than slide)

-front spool or 50k-100k diff (I prefer spool for tight loose tracks)
-rear diff: 10k
(depending on tire wear, you may want to run a front diff)

-front springs: light blue
-rear springs: dark blue

-front droop: 2mm over ride height
-rear droop: 2-4mm over ride height
(2mm works good all around, just keep track of tire wear)

-1mm shims under front upper arms

-front toe out: -0.5
-rear toe in: 1.5 - 2.0 (any more rear toe, you'll start to push)

-front camber: 2
-rear camber: 3

Hope this helps. Oh and another good tuning aid is the clutch. If you run your clutch with a .4mm endplay, try .5mm. And for the spring nut, if you run .8, try 1mm. This should help keep you from over reving power to the wheels.

You know what we'd say
Seriously, the 720 is killer, even the RRR/Evo is still the car to beat in my eyes. But the MTX-4 ... I'm diggin it. You can almost throw it down on any track with the stock setting and school with it. I would suggest to get an aftermarket rear shock tower like Skyline and at least front universals (Mugen). Get the parts to make a front diff (Scott posted the parts you'll need). A set of dark blue springs and a 2.2 rear sway bar for tuning.
And spares, but that's a given. And thats basically all I can think of right now to help you get dialed. So that should make your wife happy.

don't get skyline, it requires you to use seperate nuts to attach it to the chassis...it is not worth it. i had one and i am now using the five star alloy brace, it is a two peice design instead of a one peice design, but i think with the 4mm chassis installed as well you will have ample amount of strength even with the two peice 5 star unit.

I run a front spool now. What i am having trouble with is coming into a corner the car is unpredictable and is loose in the rear the only thing that concerns me a bit with that setup of yours is the harder springs in the rear.

One other thing i forgot to mention is i have put 2 hole pistons in the front shocks, could this be causing the car to dive too much taking weight off the back?

Slo, What weight oil in the rear diff?
I would go back to the one hole piston in front and try less droop in rear. If the rear springs feel too on edge for you, go with the light blue.

10K as per the kit. I had 3mm droop in the rear. I have the middle roll centre spacer in the bottom arms and 2mm spacers on the top with the inner joint in the middle hole.

Try light blue ( original mtx4 ) or softer rear springs. Your setup is like mine ( two holes piston all around, the middle roll centre spacer in the bottom arms and 2mm spacers on the top the uprights ).

It has l/blue all round on it now and 600 oil. Just wondering it because of our warmer climate in our part of australia if the oil is getting to thin? Shock oil that is
