Some use shoe goo, others, like me use two component epoxy resin, much better than CA for glueing the brake pads.

I use J.B. Weld, put them in a press, let them dry overnight, clean up the excess glue and ream out the holes...never had a problem.

I'm sure you've tried to swivel the carb and adjust the ball link on the low end needle? I don't have a JP12 but never has to grind a carb body.

I don't use any glue and haven't had a problem or noticed a diffrence from glued alternatives for the 2 years that I've been doing.

Cyanoacrylate or CA glue works very well. Get the stuff that starts to bond in 20 to 30 sec. That way you have time to center the brake pads right. I've off-centered some break pads using the 1 to 3 sec. stuff and had to unbond it with that CA remover solution.

Yep... changed the brake disk and needed to reduce the diameter almost 1.5mm to the disk brake for not rubbing to the carb. Is quite common.

If you can't or don't want to reduce the brake disk, with a sanding roll and a dremel, do a light touch where they touches just to enlarge the gap.
