Excellent choice getting the MTX4. The car goes together easily. I would suggest getting front CVD's and a thicker rear shock tower. Thats about the only problems I have heard about. Other than that the car is very easy to put together. Just take your time (cause the instructions are that great) and you shouldnt have any problems.

Is everyone just going to the 4 nowadays? I still see some guys with the 3, but I'm wondering how long will they stay with it?

BTW, I let you guys know that excessive grease on first gear one way bearing is bad thing. I made the mistake on today race and paid the price Luckily I still got third, but it was very close race between me and him.

Is it possible the main shaft steel become smaller in diameter where the first gear one way bearing sit ?

Are you using the stock main shaft? I had a problem with the
skyline one.

Probably not, I have to work Saturday night from 7:30 until Sunday morning at 7:30. I am going to try to make it to the Byrons race though.

what type of shalft is that one? is it the one that changes the 2 speed attachment from c clip to screw and washer like the kyoshos, and if so are the spur gears the same as the mtx4 or are they a special item for this system?
looks good though, this set up is easier to work on without needing too many of those c clips

they're 3 racing low friction spur gears, but i think the centre hole might be different to the stock ones if the 2 speed hubbs are larger diameter on this particular set up, dont know what material they're made of
