went racing the mtx4 for the first time yesterdayon a different one to the one i usually race on and am very happy with how the car performed, not so happy with how the organic part of the car did though ran 6deg on rear with 3deg toe, 2deg front with 1deg toe out, 1.5 droop 4mm fr r/h 5mm rr r/h
with 37s all round. as the porpose of the day for me was to learn the track and the best way to stay on it i found the car stable and easier to drive than last time i ran there with my g4 1 yr ago and with 1-1.5 second better lap times! drove better and better every race and finished the day 2nd in the 20 min B final promising debue for my mtx4, cant wait till 21st to try getting it to go quicker

Ichy, try taking some toe and camber out of the rear. 3* is too much for all but the loosest of conditions. You are going to be losing a lot of straight-away speed. I never run mine past 2* in. It sounds like you are on the right track to success though, good job!

thanks for the tip, i've been runing 1 deg rr toe on my g4 on low traction which worked well, but i,ll find out how the mtx4 goes on 21st testing some different combos.

1 question i need to ask is about the roll centre adjustment on the rear suspension arm, looking at the car tonight i found that the front inserts
in the the rear bulkhead that hold the hinge pin are in the highest setting while the inserts in the rear of the rear bulkhead are in the lowest setting which i found a little strange. is this a normal setting option or did the previous owner of the car set this incorrectly?
i assume that the setting should be the same front to the back but if someone could shed some light on this it would be much appreciated
because this is one extra adjustment on the mtx4 that my g4 didnt have
cheers
joe

It looks like the person before you had put anti-squat in the car, basicly to helps on initial acceleration for the most part. If you have the other adjustment inserts, place it flat, in the middle or flip the ones over in the front of the rear lower pin and run it all the way down. This will free up the car a little and if you need more rear traction, raise it up. I run mine in the middle on most tracks, unless grip is insain. Also, I run 1.5mm tow RR on each side and 3.5 camber,(or till the tires just start to cone inward.)

thanks for the info and advice, i'll be changing it first thing. the other mugen runners at our track are running the lowest setting as vht is used on the track for high traction but 6 deg cam cones the tyres in slightly so at least i got 1 thing right if you have ever watched the 1/8th 2001 worlds video thats the track im atempting to race at to give you an idea of my chalenge
