Might take a look at these tires. Strong stiff rims, fully glued tires, packaged in plastic to guarantee freshness, all shores, excellent rubber. I race with them, sell them to my customers, heavy repeat sales... tells me something!

I have confidence in GQ tires and know how well they perform but at $14 a pair and $5 shipping, thats almost $20 a pair / $40 a set.

Default Tyres and rims

Seems that GQ tyres are really fine out there. Unfortunately don't have access to them here so I used what works for me....

My main brand of tyres are enneti on their multispoke rim, mainly on 37's, 40's and some 42's but choosen between the ones marked as 40's (checked with a durometer).

On very high grip conditions (strange, but... sometimes happens) use the Kyosho ones on 40's and 42's, their stiffer rim helps to combat traction roll, their disadvantage, with enneti foams, I have a complete car for 12 or 13 (bought in batches of 25 or 30 sets). Kyosho foams go for 22 the complete set so have very few sets of those (only 3 or 4 sets of those).

Buy GQ Tires in multi pairs and shipping cuts down to nothing. Up to 9 pairs shipping is $7.00... and 10 pairs and more ship free. What I have found even at my local track, guys try to save money and buy the $9.00 tires. First couple of times out they bend the rim or chunk the tire. Now throw that away and take another $9.00 pair out or even one of the pair and you still have spent more money. It is never how much you spend , it is always what do you get for your money.( now I am speaking for my tire and other quality tires made)..... I, as a dealer, want to fall in that cheap $9.00 tire market, but rather keepmy customers.

So I would have to purchase ~$140 worth of tires in order to get free shipping/?

RC MUshroom sells the Fast tires for 8-9 bucks a pair. If you buy enough the shipping is pretty much nothing. Go in with a couple of guys and buy a bunch at a time.

$9.35 per set shipping... (their economical price... just on the site)... 8.51 per pair plus 9.35 equals 17.86 per pair! Hmmmmmm lol Buy whatever you think you can afford. But if your gonna count the appples than count them all the same. I will serve my customers the best and not closeouts. Just a different way to do business but it works for me Just my two cents and opinion. I have raced them all over the 20 years understand that everyone has their opinion... that's what cool about the forum!

When I was in Hong Kong last year, I ended up buying about 40+ pairs of fast tires for about 8 bucks a pair. I wish I could go back again for free. I didn't have to pay anything for shipping.
