If i aint mistaking, the softer the clutch shoe, the more grab whereas the more aggressive the car gets. Thats why most people around here use the grey clutch shoe because its in between red and black. But that was before the yellow came out. I dont think red/yellow would be good choice on low traction tracks like all of the tracks here.

Yeah, I'm jealous too. See you in Brisbane, should be a good event. Are we in the same 8th scale heat? I hope not, I never have enough horsepower as you Tak.

New option part for the MTX 4

Mugen Part T0508. 4mm rear shock tower. The top part where the body mounts attach are milled down so the body mount stays in the same spot. No need to make any new holes in you sedan body. Mugen USA just received them. Ask your hobby shops to order these in if you want them.

There is also a urethane side belt available now that I was just told has now arrived. It was test fit at Mugen in Cal and I was told that it fits very well.

Part T0267 is the part number for that belt.

No it doesn't as they aren't needed. Before you say anything, I know as does Mugen that it will add some shock angle but many of the team drivers are running 5mm shock towers (2 stock towers glued together) without spacers and no problems.

There will not be a prospec version anytime soon. Prospec stands for professional specification. The car is only 3-4 months old and the pros are still making spec changes as they find ways to improve the stock kit. You could make at least some of the prospec version yourself. My guess is that the prospec will come with titanium camber links and steering turnbuckles. These are already available. The MTX4 came with the MTX3 prospec clutch, but if you want to upgrade to the yellow clutch shoe, it is available now as well. All the CVD's are available now as well if you want those too. Thicker rear shock tower is now available.

My guess if/when there is a prospec version it won't become available before Christmas if it even happens this year. That is my own personal speculation and not that of Mugen.

Its all good Jo. I just wanted to address that it has been tested with a greater angle already. I am sure you wouldn't have been the only person to ask about that if I didn't address it.

Mugen just got them in yesterday late afternoon so it will take a few days to get them to hobby shops.

Default mtx4 support in San Diego area

I am going to get a new car. I am moving to the San Diego area in May. I just want to know if any of the local shops support this car. I don't want to have to order all my extra parts online. I would like to be able to support it locally. Anyone else in that area run this car? PLEASE let me know....Thanks in advance!!!!
