the cvds from the mtx-3 won't fit the rear of the mtx-4 (longer)

mugen came out with a cvd for the rear. and according to peter chu, skyline will also have a rear cvd available in about a week or two.

mugen titanium pivot balls is around $80. 3racing has them also for around $25. i'm not sure about the quality of the 3racing ones. but of course the mugen's are already tested. i may pick up a set from 3racing this week just to see how durable they are.

the rear shock towers..... i replaced mine with a 4mm one just because i broke it on my first night out with my MTX-4. buddy of mine has his still stock after 4 race weekends. my bro didn't break his, but replaced it with a 3mm skyline shock tower just for insurance (after what happened to mine )

Thank you
Assuming you have mtx3 prospec...... these are transferable items:

titanium pivot ball turnbuckle ( lolli pop ), alluminium hexagonal wheel adapter, titanium steering turnbuckle rods, brake disc ( need modification on mtx4 ). Not many.

In addition to what has already been said:

Other common parts between the MTX3 and 4

Many of the bearings are the same.
Front uprights are the same.

MTX3 shock shafts are the same as the MTX4 rear
Two speed springs are the same.
1st gear oneway
2 speed housing is the same.

MTX3 clutch is the same as the 4.... (flywheel, weights, flywheel nut, clutch shoe)

Check the part numbers. I have both manuals in my hand. Same part numbers. I have the pdf of the complete parts list of each car. Same part number. I also checked the online parts list on Mugen Japan's website. Same part number. The flywheel and the nut that attaches the flywheel to the engine are the same.

Thinner Diff Oil : Basically you want to turn less tight.

Off throttle : rear tires have more grip but less slide sideways.
On throttle : There is spinning possibility for the tire with less traction ( not good ). ---> You want forward traction instead tire spin.
Application : open wide track ( less demanding driving skill )

30K diff oil is common use.
How about on medium to low traction, what oil do you recommend for the rear?

10K

If your car exhibit understeer, use thicker like 20K.

Has anyone noticed that RC-Mushroom doesn't have any Mugen Kits anymore? They still have parts, but no kits. Did Mugen cut them off for selling so cheap?
