thanks for the good words about my car! i also like it arot

regarding weight i have added up all my option parts and the results are this:

STANDARD PARTS

all the standard part from the kit i removed weighed a total of 72.4 grams. i weighed each part individually

OPTION PARTS
all option skyline parts weighed 92.9 grams

RESULTS
the option parts make it 20.5 grams heavier. i also have installed titanium pivot balls and a even lighter two speed shaft. the shaft i am using is 10.5 gams so my car is actually only 15 grams heavier.

the mono titanium screws weigh a total of 39.7 grams but not all the screws in the kit are used, and i left the steel screws on the bottom of the chassis on the car for strength reasons. all other screws are titanium, so my car is probably equal if not lighter than standard due to the screws and titanium pivots.

For all those guys that are doing the weight watchers thing going on here lately, I got to weigh my car the other day. We are getting ready for the Winter Wind Up race so I decided it was time to check the weight.

My car has the following changes compared to a stock MTX4

Mugen Titanium pillow balls
Skyline radio tray support
Skyline hollow steel 2 speed shaft
Kawahara 1st gear adaptor
Kawahara 2 gear adaptor
Mugen Titanium upper screw kit
Mugen MTX3 rear CVD's installed on the front
Mugen MTX4 rear CVD's installed on the rear
RC products 4mm rear shock tower.
AMB Personal Transponder

I was using the following servos both with aluminum servo horns. I have a Futaba 9451 on steering and an Airtronics 94737 for throttle. I used a Protoform Dodge Stratus. I measured using a hotmod Novarossi N12LL3 with a monotuning 11 fin head (stock head weighs 42g, monotuning head weighs 45g). I weighed it using Kawahara tires trued to 58.5f, 59r.

My car weighed 1695g.

Look beefy now
Hi Asw.

As you told it, needed to file a little the upper brace, but nothing that a quick pass of dremel could solve.

Regarding springs between brake pads, tried as many people on my MTX3 and MRX3 and gave us many probs (I tried with 1/12 front spring) and didn't worked at all, better to thinker a little more and with a sanding drum, remove a little the threads at the end of the screw (where the metal pad touches with the screw) to free as much as possible and ensure that brake pads doesn't bind with anything.

Agree, looks beefy and brakes much better (at least mine does).

Keeping your lower side steel screws is better, in fact, lightening the upper side you're lowering your CG a little more.

On all mine cars, titanium pivot balls only went on the front upper side, to help a little more to do this, the lower are of steel.

The Internal Revenue Service and I are having a debate so I am keeping travel to a minimum until we resolve our disagreement.

Dear VenomWorldOrder,,

Here is YOUR quote "DEAR USA, this is YOUR president:
"Bureaucracy is not going to stand in the way of getting the job done for the people." -President Bush, Sept. 6, 2005. after 5 days of idiotic inaction towards helping katrina sufferers DEAR bUSH, you ARE THE ADMINISTRATION!!!!..so either move aside, or better yet, STAND DOWN "

Did you not hear the goverment tell all the people of New Orleans to get out?
Why should our government help the people that did not listen to them.
If your government told you to get out or die what would you do??????
I hope you would choose the latter..............
Please lets keep your political and religious views to yourself.

although this is the mtx-4 thread i would say the issue is the less fortunate people who did not have their own transport or enough money to pay for the transport out for their whole family were left with no choice but to stay and fend for themselves , enough said lets get the thread back on topic

i v got good clearance wit the spacer ofcoz..but thats not the reason coz from the 1st day i double it up,got it in great position,it is straight, but it does not do any good, thinkin of getting it STOCK again..

current my kit is lighter by 20grams.by adding double lay, ofcoz increase now..
