For those looking for the Titanium 2 speed shaft, beware, with just over 2 gallons through the car, the shaft is starting to show wear were the 1st gear one way is. Starting to slip and also 1st gear not grabbing.

If you can find the hollow steel one, same weight, and better part.

Yep, made that experience with the MTX 3 already. Titanium does not have the sufficient surface hardness for the one way bearings.

I use Square hollow steel shaft, nice part.

Trey get the Sportswerk cyclone or the other sportswerk one I can't remember what it is named off hand but it is really small and runs off two stick packs either one is good. I have the cyclone and like it a lot. I know that Tim has both of them in stock.

Thats ok, but I don't really like them I had a Cyclone for a while and it would skip and skreetch if it was off by a hair.

Like any ofna starter boxes I think would be good, but what do most of you guys use?

i used to use this on my mtx-3 and now i use it for my mtx-4...

it's lightweight and compact size but yet very strong and durable. and it's not expensive.

Actually I have had no problems with mine at all. I think that when you were using it for your 8th scale that the starter box was not quite strong enough for it. Thus giving you the problems. I know that Rob Skiba had the small starter box for his 8th on-road and it work really well for him. Another one I would suggest and this is the one I want for my 8th off road is this one
