Any photo...
Maybe the bearings are broken since they are tiny .

For those who have this car, is it a big improvement over the MTX-3 Prospec or should I save the money and get the Prospec?

How much difference (the price) between two cars?
If you don't have any MTX before, go MTX-4, won't let you disappointed.
is it a big improvement from 3 to 4 (more stable and higher conering speed)

My ti 2 speed shaft is not a mugen part. I don't think they ever made one. My mtx3 came with a ti front shaft. I purchased an aftermarket package that had that same ti front shaft, but it also had a ti 2 speed shaft. I only wanted the 2 speed shaft but I had to buy them both. It is the same shaft for the MTX4. I just took it off my prospec before I sold that car.

The attachment is found from Kawahara website, it listed the MTX3 options that can be carried on to MTX4 (which means they will keep making the same ones instead of making new designs).

P.S.: it states that small amount of modification is needed to fit the alum servo saver.

Hope this helps.

That would be great if I knew how to read Japaneese. Thanks for nothing. Just joking, the Part numbers are in English at least.

My 2 speed is still going strong with the car having probably close to a gallon and a half through it. I have however blown 2 of the small clutch bearings out. IMO, bad idea Mugen. I realize what they were trying to do, but for those of us that dont have the motor out of the car in between every run they just aren't dependable. I did manage to break the 3mm rear shock tower this past weekend, I have an idea for the fix. I am going to put it into action as soon as I get settled in at my new home in Chicago and start repping the car for next summer. Going to a place with true 4 seasons! Yay!

I got my car today along with all the Skyline Hop-ups. I will post pictures when I'm finished. All the Skyline parts are top notch and a direct fit replacement from what I can tell. Can't wait to build the car.

I wonder if it would solve the problem by replacing the stock clutch bell bearings with ceramic bearings??

Tho I know Kawahara is top quality, I would prefer the 4mm tower that gonad makes which doesnt require extra shims since it has 1.5mm mounting recess. Nice finding tho, cant wait for more K parts to come out.

Nice parts, but what really sucks is that everybody is trying to rip people off with the shipping fees on Ebay and most online shops.

Freaking 20 bucks for a padded letter from Asia, that's simply outrageous.
