Racing4Evo, Is the sway bar holder going to have the eccentrics on both sides? It would be nice to have so we can set the droop properly. Also, Robbie was running the -3 in Outlaw.

You might want to use the smaller plastic bumper.

I built the car from the stock parts and spent the rest of the year learning the car, its driving characteristics, and adapting my driving styles to what the car could do. The next year, 2003, I spent my monies on my first hop-up, a better nitro motor. I wanted to run at bigger tracks and bigger events and my stock MT-12 just wasn't enough. Granted, the car was still bone stock and I had been highly competitive at the club level, winning here and there. The next year, 2004, I got better at driving the car and started to become a competitor at the state level. In our state-wide series, I finished 15th out of 88 in touring car. My only hop-ups were the lightweight two-speed housing assembly and finned motor mounts (the original mount screw holes stripped some threads). Still, the car was pretty much bone stock from 2002 and I was beating racers with the Prospec and/or lightweight, hopped-up cars on a "diet". This year, the only other hop-ups added was an aluminum pulley on the from belt shaft because I stripped the teeth off of the plastic one (after 3.5 years) and a new RD Logics chassis (because a motor mount eyelet broke causing the motor to shift under accelleration). This year, I finished 12th out of 72 in the state in touring car with an almost 4 year old stock MTX-3 (including 1.0 pitch stock gears) over many Prospecs and original kits on a "diet". I did this because I spent more time working on driving better lines (shortest distance around the track) and different set-ups for different track conditions (maximizing the car's attributes to my skills) than worrying myself gray-haired about a few grams. My car has been as low as 1728g and as high as 1825g and it performed about the same. Now, it is currently around 1785g (with OS 12tz engine) and can hang with the best of the racers I compete against (when I am on my game).

Again, I don't mean to sound like I am downing anyone that hops up their cars. I just think that it is funny that many appear to worry more about a few grams than learning the car's attributes and matching it to their own driving ability. But, to each his own I say.
That's exactly why I love Nitro and just sold all my electric crap. In electric TC, they think you'll need a new car every 3 month and nobody can explain to me why a Nitro TC can stay competitive over 3-4 years

Just receive the 4mm shock tower from Jim (gonad) today, I'm very impressed with the smooth finish. And the 4mm CF just feels indestructable compared to the stock paper tower. Also the recess area is a very nice touch.
