ok guys and gals, there's not a lot of you posting pics of your mtx-4's. show them off so we can all share and see what kind of eqiupments and maybe some mods and upgrades you've done to the car. i dusted off my digital camera today, so here's some pics of my car. i got the body painted already from a local racer here in arizona. he picked up the wrong size (he races electric sedan) so he sold this to me pretty cheap!

below are pics with the body off.

the car now sits at 1743g with the following parts installed:
aluminum screws on top
titanium screws on the bottom
skyline lightweight 2speed shaft
4mm rear shock tower
front diff (needed locally, oneway would be lighter)

i will put my car on "diet" and will install the following soon:
lightweight 2speed housings
titanium front shaft
titanium pivot balls
lightweight engine mount
after installing these upgrades, i think the car's gonna be underweight

I think it would be worth a try as the stock break disc and pads are poor even when warm. I rubbed my stock disc with sad-paper to give more bite on pads.

i want to run rubber tire in my mtx4 but i dont know what to do on the overdrive thing.
what happen or what damage could happen if i run the car with rubber tires and the stock overdrive pulley?
what pulley do i need to get the1:1 drive for rubber tires?

I think someone worked it out to be a 25 pully for 1 to 1 ratio. You may be able to get an 1/8th scale pully that size.

If my calculations are correct, with a 25 pully, the front will be underdriven by 1%.
