additionally, you were asking about the spektrum, i wanted to say that the system is very good.

you will get mixed opinion regarding the spektrum because the first released batch of them had a lot of problems. i myself was one of the victims. but i sent it back to them and they replaced it for free. now, i have 3 of them and there's no way i'm going back. no more changing crystals, or waiting for your turn to practice especially on a big race, no more being worried about someone turning on the same frequency.....

i will be using

KO PROPO 2343 (Digital High Speed) - Steering
KO PROPO 2344 (Digital High Torque) - Throttle

i've never used 2 digital servos before because i'm always afraid that the battery won't last long (used to have digital steering, analog throttle). but now, that the mtx-4 has a big battery, i will give it a shot....

Don't worry, unless your rx batts was going bad... I've always used KO digitals on both, never had the pack dump. Just make sure you charge you rx batts the right way.

it should depend on your surface as usual... i suggest you start out with 10k since that's what the kit came with. if the track is hooked up and has a lot of traction, you may higher it to 30k or 50k. the looser the track surface, the looser the rear diff, and the opposite, tighther rear diff for "sticky" track surface... at least that's how i do it

Usually when using front solid axle, rear diff should be looser than when using front one-way.

Default Art Carbonell on the MTX-4

Art TQ'd and won the Outlaw class at the Florida State Series race this weekend on his debut run with the MTX-4. You can find Art's comments on the weekend at:

It's nice to see Art back in the winner's circle.

One thing i experience with the front diff on the MTX-3 was that it leaks, maybe the car wasn't meant to be front diff -ed!

performance wise.. the MTX-3 with front diff felt more aggressive going into turns..but my times were better with the one-way. Then again it might be track specific so i am not sure.

Will be trying the MTX4 with front diff soon if time permits.. and perhaps the fixed spool on the rear..
