Hi all!

To anyone concerned about the carbon fibre rear shock tower, my MTX4 has flipped and cartwheeled about 5 times today and it's still ok! hahaha!

I've done as much as I can with the car to get weight off it. Iv done all Ti pivots, screws, shafts, 2 speed, I can't find anyplace to get more out of it. I'm at 1770 race ready without fuel. Any thing else?

heavier car normally means a tough car. In this case, MTX4 is tougher than the R40 or 710.

Does that mean the mtx-4 is heavier than the mtx-3? I thought this was one of the reasons of making a new car? Making it lighter.

maybe if you go back to mtx3's AAA rx battery? (for qualifying & short mains) don't know if that would fit but that might help.

what others do also is cut down their servo wires. I'm not a big fan of that though.

So, you mean if I place a huge boulder on my car it will be stronger?
I dont see where you are going with that but its all in materials or lack of them on the car...Sometimes lighter is stronger too. I have to get my hands on a scale someday....IMO, if you were right than a stock r40 ranging from about 1780-1900 grams willl ripe right through both the 710, RRR, and the mtx 4? Also cars can run better with a little weight it keeps it planted on the ground.

I cut my servo wires down not to save weight but to get rid of all the execess wire that i dont like hanging around but when soldering you have to make sure its done properly or else the joint will break and then you car does what it wants to do. But I have never had a runaway car before.

my wrong. i was just comparing my 3 to 710, from experience. the 710 (used to have) was so light but yet so brittle, my 3 is a "LITTLE" heavier but was never slower than the 710.

maybe in the coming weeks or months, somebody we'll find a way (or maybe a hop-up) to make it lighter
