Dont mess with Squizzys car, remember he has a long while in the V-One class, including masses of money to spend.

U can only out drive him, and even then u'd be trying.

electric Pure Ten Mantis, with a mabuchi 540 motor, it just tore tyres apart on standard gearing, couldnt ever get a big enough tooth
then i went to the dark side of nitro.

Hi Guys,

Wanna ask your opinions. How do u rate a V1RR when compared to kits like MTX-3, Serpent 705, AE NTC3 and Reflex NT?

Hey I jsut ordered my V-OneS but I have to wait for a while to get it as part of it is for my b/d

anyway I just wanna ask a couple questions, I wont be changing the engine in it for quite some time so what is a good tuned pipe to help me get the most out of the stock one. I have seen the Eagle Racing and Venom pipes mentioned here. The closest track to me is pretty small so something with good low end would probably be the best. I was also looking at the RB X12.

I will probably change the stock air filter too, will a motor saver be a good choice for this?

I will look at getting a 2 speed a bit later on.

and can someone recomend some fairly good gripping cheaper tires available in Australia.

Cheers, Phil

I think they are comparable. However the one comment i have is that i do not find that the V1RR box setup is as good as the MTX3 or NTC3. Kyosho needs to do some more homework there.

How ya goin Phil, for torque I would probably stay with the stock pipe its the one thing it os OK for most of the pipes available ive found are good for top end but lack in the torqu dept. Motorsaver air filter is a must have and is very noticeable immediately and youll find youll have to richen the top end needle up. Good value for money tyres are Sorex's, at this time of year try 36front and 32rear.
Hope thats of some help!

How do you find the quality on those kits? I see that MTX-3 and the 705 comes with lots more aluminium and graphites than the V1RR.

Chris, i was running the hardest set of slicks, 24mm slicks on 26mm rims, they didnt fit the best, but the 540 was geared, way too low, and only RWD so it just span the wheels to the shit house.
plus once it broke the seal thats on the tyres from wheel spinning they softened up too much. so it just wipped em apart., but if geared up to stop wheel spin, it'd be NO competition for a Nitro or any of the good elect engines.
But would be excellent for ISC track, as is that is.
