Adjust the timing by unscrewing the 3x3 set screw by 1/4 turns actually while running the car. Match the timing to the specific track conditions.

Start from 3.5 turn from close position.

Good luck! ! !
Don't over tighten your set-screw. The number of turns is dependent on the track type. I've always found it easier to make big changes either way to determine the when the two-speed kicks in.

I set it from the flush position and turn CCW or CW depending on when it kicks in on the track that I am running at.

I have used the Mugen MTX2 gearbox and clutch. the only things that needed to be changed was the spacer between the bulkhead-gears and the rear support/brake brace for clearance on the second spur gear.

just wondering what engine are you running with these type of modification.
does the MTX2 fits very well on the spur gear shaft???

Can you share some tips regarding this mods...

Tnx. . .

the mtx2 spur gears fit directly to the shaft, no mods required on the shaft or spurs. mod required on the brace just to clear the second gear spur.
i found it easier to fit the spurs into place then align the engine to the spurs with a multi position engine mount.
the engines i am using are MT-12 and Sirio 12 TUPPRO

hope this helps

Hey Guyz, , ,

Have any one tried installing sirio engine or any racing engines in your V1s2 and using the same 2 speed intended for this model. . .
I have heard from some feedback that this kind of setup would destroy your spurgear on 2 speed. . .they say that V1s2 tranny is not designed for high performance engines. . .

Any comment guyz. . . .

with a bit of modification on the main tranny shaft, I got an old two-speed transmission set(alongwith the adjustable clutch set) for v-one rr and installed it on the main tranny shaft.

and yes I'm a pure filipino.

I used New arrows racing tires. GRP gandini.
Very good grip

front tires: 26mm width x 45 shores
rear tires: 30mm width x 45 shores
The tires comes with foam and mags in pre assy condition.

Hope this helps. . .

You can visit www.grpgandini.com
