Can someone highlight to me the difference between v1s and v1s II? Does using a heavier weight in the front diff makes it feel more like a FF? How does a v1s II match up to a ntc3(team) complete stock? Which one is a better choice?

lol Ben you are going through with what I've just been through !!

I've created a topic, "V One Models", check it out because I've asked the same question. I've decided on the V One S over the S II.

I just went and buy fuel, the guy gave me 15% nitro fuel. Will this be fine for engine break in And normal use afterwards ?
thanks

EDIT: Dw guys, I got my mate to get me 10%. Omg the sound of the r/c after all that work you've put through in assembly is music to your ears .

I noticed theres alot of shit coming out of the exhaust, I'm not sure if it's oil or fuel, is this normal ?
I have it high speed needle 3 turns out.

if your engine is running on the lean side there will be more half burnt fuel coming out of the exhaust. why did you choose the one s?

shit ! Then how do I know if it's running rich ?

I put those cable ties like some ppl here have, to prevent scratches on the heatsink, however I went out and the ties MELTED OFF! Is this too hot ?

I chose the One S over the S II because of the primer in the S II

I think is normal for the ties to melt... cause after all it's Plastic. Try the spit method? the sII can be upgraded to a carbon fiber upper deck which requires you to use the low cg v one r tank

Cable ties on the head to prevent scratches .... hmmm i think keeping it on its wheels would be better.

Ben1112, I have 2 SIIs and bought them for the simple reason a version II of anything must have some benifits over a Version I.

If oil is coming out of the exhaust then my way of thinking is it is running rich. The engine cant burn al the fuel it is being fed.

Hey guys I got a problem here, the starter feels like it slipping. Before you can feel that piston up and down sensation but now it feels like it just pulls out freely.

I thought it was flooded, so I opened up glow plug but nothing came out.

EDIT: I took the engine out of the chassis and suddenly the fly spun abit. I noticed I put too much fuel into the tank and the fuel was going up the top and into the exhaust.

I also notice there's some grease or liquid under the heatsink, don't know where it's coming from but I'm going to try and take the heatsink off and check it out.

I removed the heatsink since i saw oil but then nothing wrong inside, i think it was lubrication. anyways the screws were easy to remove so i tighten the head back in.

I finally got it started.. FYI today is the first day I started the car and it's the first r/c car.

Feedback #1: Building the car is great. This is my first r/c car ever and it's a lil scary because you don't want to f*** up anything and always paranoid. I'm currently running my third tank with high speed needle 3 turns out and low speed 1 1/2 out. It's spitting out heaps of liquid but dazza has told me not to worry because it's just oil.
