weeee, v-one s II arrived on friday, thx XR400 and v one s racer

Rained over the weekend, but left me time to double check i assembled it correctly, touch wood, also time for the motor to idle through its tanks of fuel in the shed whilst raining,
I have no work today due to the weather over the weekend, and its now stopped raining, just had its first oppurtunity to run it out the front, wahey, shes a beast, even just puttering it around its smoooooth as silk, nice note from the motor, and suspension playing its part just as i had hoped

Will take a bit, but you'll see me at a few of the melbourne tracks for shits and giggles, especially castlemain, as Ballarat doesnt have scheduled races.

Hope to see some you'se there

Question

Hey guys me again...

Sounds good doff, i was hoping to upgrade my S to an R that i found really cheap but couldnt sell it off ... anyway i have ANOTHER question about ANOTHER engine fellas. So tell me what you think, if it will fit the S and so on.

Also if it did fit what i would have to change (if i had to) and if it would be compatible with the V-one-S 2-speed tranny...

Anyway this time i wont forget it but here IT is, it's an EPIC Pull Start Slide Carburetor .18 Nitro Engine
Here's the Specs and also a pic

SPECS: Displacement: 0.18 cu in (2.95cc) Output: 1.8HP @ 39,000 RPM Weight: 6.88/6.82oz (195/193.2g) Crankshaft size at threads: 0.196" (5mm)

FEATURES: True .18 displacement Short stroke/high rpm Slide carburetor with high and low needles Oversized ball bearings Standard, non-turbo glow plug Red anodized cylinder head with "EPIC" silkscreening Pilot Shaft (SG) crankshaft

Thanks in advance AGAIN guys

That engine won't fit because it's got an SG (Serpent) crank... for a V-One S you want an engine with a Threaded (Standard) crank.

I recommend 16%. Go to
http://go.to/solaspeed
to see the mod they do to stop the wear on the second gear of the 2 speed.

Exclamation Not so sure...

I'm not so sure about the crank being wrong but you can get it in either Threaded or SG

Check these out and please give me another opinion:

http://www.nitroreview.com/compare/compareengines.cfm

http://www.epicmotorsports.com/
(if needed click Big Bore .18 Line of nitro engines) The EP 1800 model is threaded so...)

I'm really considering purchasing this motor if it will fit and be compatible with the V1S 2-speed (without moding it)

Cheers

The engine SHOULD fit if it is threaded crank. V-one S only accepts threaded.

i know this may sound repeated,
does anyone have a copy of the RCCar action touring car edition of 2003?
in it,one of the articles was :how to replace an rtr engine, and as model the V1S was used and the GS15R was replaced by a SG crank .18Sirio.
there wasnt any specific instructions, but the pictures say a lot.
i wish to know WHAT flywheel is that?
all u guys , do get a copy ,and have a look ok?
