Default "real"

"they will probably buy the new ntc3 rtr (without a lola body)...probably thinking they're getting the real thing.... "

My Opinion

The ntc3 is a "real" race car designed and marketed to people who know what they want
.
The ntc3 rtr is a car designed for entry level and or street racers.(however there are people who will buy this thinking they are getting a "real" race car).

all I can figure out is this.

1) is the alum housing on the right way?

2) I just had a play with my spare and if you look at the photo after adjusting it right in the spring stayed in position even after the grubscrew was backed right off! check that is backing out with the screw.(is there a steelball beetween the spring and the finger?)

3) is the spur gear properly secured to the layshaft with the large grub screw?

other than that....no ideas sorry man!

hmm..i thought i mention the prob...

somehow the spring got jam in between the screw thread, thus restrictin the movement...need some force to remove it...replace it wif a new spring...tink the previous owner overtighen the grub screw too much....

thats what i was meaning about the new v1s

they would think it was a full blown race car kinda thing

thats if they didnt know much about the cars on the market (like if they where a new comer and new eniught to get them to buy it because they thought it was a race car.

What I think kyosho have done here is respond to market demand, more and more manufacturers are producing cars with .15 engines and in response to this more and more clubs are running .15 classes and the norm seems to be to run lola bodies.
The new v-one-s hasn't even has its specifications released yet so I think its pretty harsh to judge it in any way.(in relation to its potential as a racecar)
I know it has foam tyres standard (same config as the v-one-rr)
and the floating rear mount system.
I suspect it may have a 2-speed standard(not sure).
so lets see. I remember when the v-one-rr was only a rumour and many people thought it was just going to be another v-one-r
In retrospect now it represented about $350 worth of extras for about $100 at the cash register.

possibly, but at the end of the day they are going to get a more "race ready" car. And thats just based on the current information available.
