Does anyone know what is happening with the Kyosho Cup in Australia this year? thinking about giving the tamiya a miss and having a play with the noisy cars.

I guess Lue would be the man in the know, but the last I heard was that there may be an event but there'd be no free trip for the winner. (This was quite a while ago)

Brad, are you thinking about KCup cause they are a "Not so Noisey Tourer", Cant have any noise now can we

If oyu add fuel instead of batteries, they are noisey, but i do enjoy driving them occasionally, i do like the longer races, although my first half hour race, i nearly fell off the stand exhausted.

Default New radio.

The new radio I'm getting is available to me in both 27Mhz and 40Mhz models, however the 40Mhz isn't available to me now (might have to wait a while).

Do you think I should get the 27Mhz or wait for the 40Mhz to arrive (dunno how long though )?

Ta,
'Racer

i'll try and get some pics soon.
Hello nitro dave, still hoping to see some pics from you.

Default New Huge Track!

Hi guys,
Anyone in the South Florida area needs to know about our new track, and big events coming in the month of August.

http://www.PalmBeachSoftware.com/domains/bethesda

This is just the staging server, and will be moved to our club domain in the next day or so.

Anyway, make sure you check out the track. It's big enough for 1/5 scale! 16 foot wide lanes, huge pit lane, and the track works! Plenty of "FAST" and plenty of technical mixed in.

The 1/8 scale cars were blazing doing probably 70mph down the long straight this last Sunday.

We've been working on this for quite a while, and have over $7,000 invested. 10' high drivers stand with canopy, too.

We're having a BIG TROPHY race on August 3, and you are all invited. All racers will get a free barbeque lunch with their entry fee!

Can you guys check out the site and let me know what you think? I hope some of you can make it down and run with us. We're a group of pretty cool guys that like to race and have FUN! You are all WELCOME!

Thanks

Default Camber and Toe in?

I notice from earlier posts that lots of people seem to run toe out at the front and toe in at the rear, is this normal? I am just a rookie and spend all my time bashing around parking lots and know very little about setup and this seems very strange to me.

i do, especially on high traction tracks. toe in on the front with high traction will result in traction rolling. and toe in on the rear to give stable straight line speed and control in corners.

for carpark surface/tracks, i run 0 - 1 deg toe in and 1.5 - 2 on the rear.

just my 2 cents worth.
