Default Dual Rate

Rhandee

The dual rate is set on your controller...not on your V1S. Every controller has DR for throttle and steering individually.

"Vifer - hahaha!!! hope u made a good potion for that!"
Sorry but I don't get what you meant. Pardon my ignorance.

Default Vifer

Hie Vifer,

the potion i mean is the Silicone Oil that u put in your deffrntl.
I hope u made a good combination of silicone oil for ur front and rear diffrnt.

Brainless:

Can u list all the hop-ups u made. And their corresponding benefits (stability, performance etc) to your v1s. I'm really excited to see it. Thanks

Thanks guys!!!

OIC. The combination is quite good for the track I run on. Can't wait to get the front one way for my V1S. Then I can shift the bevel gears from the front to the rear diff, making it more stable and reactive in the rear diff. And drive like a lunatic on the track...

Default v-one-s shocks

Rhandee................The original v-one-r shocks are pretty cool and really nicely made...alloy body, teflon piston etc, not cheap here in Australia but good stuff is never cheap.

Default shocks

I just use the standard springs (black).
At the end of the day i'm not totally convinced that spending huge dollars on shocks etc makes a huge difference, it does make the handling easier to tune but i have found regular rebuilding and the correct shock oils make the real difference.
Play with your droop and rebound I reckon this is a major parts to dialing your car.
These shocks are eagle brand I run 60w front single hole piston,
and 80w rear 2 hole piston.

See ya

Default Vifer..re eagle shocks

I like the shocks, inexpensive and machined ok. If your worried about setting them up etc just fit the pistons from your original v-1-s shocks to them and run the original springs as I do.
All in all a good value product.

See ya

Default v-one-s dogbones

I should have mentioned earlier if you're sick and tired of losing dogbones, throw out the original Kyosho ones and fit Mugen MTX-2 ones! they are about 3mm longer and will not fall out and you can run the car at the full 200mm track (or a bit bigger).

Hey Guys

I got my V-One S about 2 months ago, its still completely stock,

to do with the dogbone falling out thing, i just added 2 o-rings to the rear,
This is my first nitro car, i broke the engine in normal untill the 3rd tank, where i couldnt resist it any longer and just had to give it everything it had. so it pretty much got broken in very fast, will this damage the engine too much?
At the moment it accelerates as quick as a V8, and im still running the GS15-r, i was wondering what engines use r using and if they r .15 or .12 and how much they r in aust$???
is the sway bars for the V-One S a must have just like the 2-speed, The track im going to be running at has half very technical then a 60M straight.
What type of tuned pipe r u guys running on upgraded engines, and what pipes r use's running on the stock motor???
my set up im running is from memory:
1.5 toe out front
1 toe in rear
1 / \ camber all around,
and caster is unset but i've been told it runs best with max caster (14 deg (all the little clips at front))
and after break in does the stock glow plug not want to work?
what plug is advised?

Thanks,

Matt

P.S. this car for me reaches around 75KM/H stock
