Default Question Re: Engine Bearings

I need to replace the bearings in my GS... but first I have to get the buggers out ! I'm having a bit of trouble and am wondering if anyone's done it before and what they did.

I've put it in the oven for a while @ 110-130 degrees and tried to get them out but they still wouldn't budge.

Suggestions ?

I ended up getting the engine bearings out !

Turns out the oven was too cold, I tried 130 degrees (celcius) the other day and tried 210 degrees (celcius) today and they practically fell out !

Talking Engine

Hi
Im currently running the GS15 engine in my v one s and its a bit slow for me on the track so im looking at buying a new engine. The restrictions for racing are it must be a .12 engine with max 1hp.... wat do u guys suggest i buy???

Finding a racing .12 engine with less than 1HP (rated) output is tough but I think you should take a look at Thunder Tiger's EVO .12s

The GS15 is a pretty good sports engine. You'd be hard pressed to find a better .12 if you're restricted by the output (HP).

Do you have the proper gearing for your track?

Novarossi CX12PS2......Ultra reliable, Ultra tuneable.
There is no comparison in a 12 side exhaust.
