Default is Serpent 950R obsolete?

Well my dad and I both have a 950R.. does anyone still drive this?

It is a old car, would be fine to get back into the sport but will not compete with todays cars. it will lack the corner speed that we have today.

Try to find spare parts for this including tires (OS1 offset) and you'll find out fast how obsolete it is.

Still running mine. Want to get rid of the small stash of OS1 wheels I've got before I start running my MRX5. Still love it and I've got enough parts to build almost two more new cars, but it's getting harder to find tires and I feel that the more lightly-built cars available today should perform better.

Here in N. Cali, 1/8 onroad scene is obsolete, let alone the 950R. Regardless if it's obsolete, frowned upon, etc, all that matters is that at the end of the day, you have fun. Happy racing and go Serpent! (owner of 966)

use to have a 950...sold it as the On Road scene in Houston is pretty much gone...unless u live in Porter Tx ...

Hi. Yes the new rims are wider now so to fit the actual tires on my 950, I dremelled the inside part of the tip of the aluminum quick change part. New tires fit perfectly now.
