We are South American distributors for STS Racing. Go to our web page in Spanish and you have all information you need about Dragon D3R. www.gppmodelracing.com
In the Descargas (Downloads) section you have a complete imstruction manual with tips and suggetstions.
I personally run it on a Mugen MTX-3 and fits perfect with no problems. Engine is very very strong on low and mid range, and is exelent on short to medium tracks. It will give the run for their money to any Nova based engine and also Sirio's.
In my opinion it is the best balance between cost and performance.

There is also a special thread on STS engines in this forum under
Exclusive Nitro Engine Zone

I have the D3R and the D5R STS modified engines. And they work great. They don't cost so much and have good power. I ran the D3R all summer last year, most of the time at night. It was my fault that I didn't run it rich enough to compensate for the dense cold atmosphere. So the D3R is on it's last leg at the moment. Luckily I still have my 5 port to mess around with. Don't take this wrong way, the engine is good.

My advice, take care of it and the engine will last. In my opinion, it's the most bang you can get for your buck. I have the D3R on my Yokomo GT4 and the D5R on my HPI R40.

Where are you going to buy your D3R?? Factory engines are EFRA
modified engines. We have special IFMAR modified D3R.

The D3R Factory Modified is 100% EFRA legal.

What we do is a special GPP modified engine for IFMAR sanctioned races, which is not EFRA legal.

If I'm not wrong that is 'Specials For February'! So you better be quick if you're interested in it. Only about one hour left.....

Factory D3R is as I said 100% EFRA legal, so it has 7mm crank passage.
Turbo scoop doesn't touch passage exit, and there is no chamfer
