I'll dig around tonite and see if I still have some of mine. It's been 12 years since I raced it so it might take a while to locate them. Mine will be slightly different from stock because I had all of the Paris mods on the car. There's still pics on the net google rc500 there's a link that shows a stock 1987 4wd from Associated's web site.

Default Glad to share some pics

Hi,
These are my RC 500's. The car with white suspension and bumper I bought as a kit in about 1988. Had lots of fun with assembly and running the car. Only ran in parking lots around my home town in Indiana and usually against an RC300BD that a close friend had at the time. It is a 2WD single speed car with belt drive diff. The car with colored suspension parts I bought assembled and VERY used from an on-line auction. It is a 2WD 2 speed with a solid rear axle. I spent lots of time cleaning and restoring to current condition. My kit car does still run but the restored car has not seen fuel to this point and my not ever.
thanks for looking.

Default Solid axle question

Thanks for the comments. I wondered if anyone knows the benefit of the solid axle for the RC500? I have experience only with my kit car that uses the ball diff. Seems like an "upgrade" to a solid axle is a throwback to a club racer? I assume certain tracks (I have not had the experience of racing) allow this type of configuration and there is a benefit. Just curious. When I got the used car I was a intrigued by the setup but don't know how this is better (if it is) than a working differential. Thanks again. btw for some context on my restored car I'll post some before shots.

the solid diff was mainly used on the 4-whl drive cars, very rarely it could be used on a hi -bite track with a high rear down force body.i tried it -when it hit 2nd gear it did a 35mph- 360!

get into contact with Delta, they probably have what your looking for laying around in there shop. last i spoke to Art they were making fly fishing rod container's, I needed a clutch for my P2G and after a pleasant conversation with Art, i got it a few day's later. I realize this was a while back and i dont think they have died. mabey give them a call.
