This is an awesome thread, my 3yr old daughter crys if I go racing without her. Shes a lil young to race but she loves just going to watch, help me in the pits if she can, play with other kids that come out and cheer me on. She has definitly shown an interest in the Hobby and cant wait to see her drive

David asked if he could race when he's 7 (May 2013). Not sure what to get him started with since indoor racing is limited. I guess it will be 10th touring in the midwest series.

Pan car is more durable with less parts to replace. They use old 1/8th tires and the same fuel you already use.

Looks like a Baja, a Sedan body, and a Dora the Explorer. So many choices for her to play with....

Let us see...extra 10th scale = check, extra parts = check, same starter box = check, same tires = check, same fuel = check....all signs point to NT1.

I just asked my magic 8 ball. Chances of a brand new kid racing a Sedan and finishing a race? Doubtful. Pan car, Could happen.

Myself, my son , and my grandson all race the GTs. Grandpa is still on top, but my time is coming. The grandson will be the one to beat us both.

Have you guys been paying attention at all? If you are going to race while your kid races too, you'll went a tough and simple car for the kid. Give the kid a break, give em a car that can run good laps and they'll learn from. A GT has a larger work load then a pan, you'll end up having to pick your car or your kids car to work on, either way, it's more work.
A pan car is simple enough your little racer might even be able to work on it (learning instead of just watching). Are you ready to show them how to use a set up board? Adjust a 2speed? I'm enjoying my grandsons racing because they are learning every race, the pride you'll feel watching them grow is unreal! As they learn to make good passes or move over without loosing much time. So much to learn, they'll need a car that stays on track, not in the pits.
No I don't get paid to push pan cars and I'm sorry I sound that way. However my son battled a GT for awhile, ask him if his son would be out racing if he had a GT car. They have never been the deal they appear to be, and a hand full for a adult much less a kid.
We're talking giving them what they need to learn the basics. Get em threw math before you hit em with the algebra.
