I have been getting some inquires on accommodations for this race. The best suggestions I have are:

Courtyard by Marriott Torrance-South Bay
1925 W 190th St, Torrance, CA, 90504 (888-236-2427)

Holiday Inn Torrance
19800 S Vermont Ave, Torrance, CA, 90502 (800-315-2621)

Extended Stay America Los Angeles - Torrance Harbor Gateway
19200 Harborgate Way, Torrance, CA, 90501‎ (800-804-3724)

If anyone has other good suggestions or has had a positive/negative experience at any of these or other local hotels please post that info here.

Some more race details:

- This is a Byronís Contingency race, so if you make the A-Main in either sedan expert or 1/8 expert you will make some money if you run Byronís fuel and have Byronís stickers on your car.

- RC America will be providing nice trophies for all A-main participants (1-10) in all 3 nitro classes (sedan, 1/8 sportsman, 1/8 expert) in addition to TQ trophies for those same classes. From what I am told the 1st through 3rd trophies are very nice custom setup boards.

- Acrylic trophies will also be provided for 1st through 3rd in all other races, and consistent with ROAR practices, those trophies will go to the 3rd through 5th place finishers as the 1st and 2nd place finishers will be bumping up, with the exception of the 5th scale A-main where these trophies will be awarded to the 1st through 3rd place finishers.
