Default Ofna starter box

Hi, I have just purchased a used Ofna starter box. It had a bad motor (550) and I replaced it. I knew about the bad motor when I bought it and had one on hand. I have since discovered the switch on the side was shot and I removed it. This box has a glow driver panel on front. I have some questions. 1. with no on/off switch the glow driver has current available all the time-does it draw anything just sitting there? 2. can I charge the on board battery at high rates through the front (12volt) jacks?( like 5-6 amps) 3. will a 2300 lipo or li-ion be sufficient? (4s) Thanks, Don

1) yes, it still draws a current, not much but it is always better to use s switch or a connector.

2) it depends th quality of the plugs and solder but I think up to 5-6 amps should not be a problem.

3) a 2300 with a high C-rate (at least 30C) should not be a problem to use it for a weekend. With the low price of some Higher capacity LiPo (hobbyking) it is better to get larger ones.
