if i understood you are driving the gt 2 without the body ,when ever i tried there was to traction its flying alll around without the down force effect of the body, you can modifiy your same bumber very easily or you can order the new version of rhe kyosho gt2 type r just came up these days. now to modifiy your bumber all you need is to put a plastic tower part like these you allready use to hold the body ,at front in the midle of your bumber ,oppening a hole in the foam using also some glue and then opening ahome at the front of the body and safing with a hing pin, in this way body its holding at 5 points and its solid in hy speeds

I just replaced the rear pinion/ring gear with straight cuts but still have front spiral ones. Is this fine to run?

yes it is ok to run ,later on you can replace also the other diff, just take care to shim it wrigth ,some people are distroing the diffs because they are over reacting making diffs tight, straight cut last longer.after a litle resarch i am using stihl gear greace

Novarossi roma .25 or ison 5port or n21-7port for my gt2 rs? We race on a medium sized parking lot track 60foot straight. Which is better to tune and fuel?

Thanks

I have both the Roma and the Ison , although im running in Australia on similar tracks we are on foam tyres over here , I prefer the Ison , its got a super smooth power delivery and great top end, It hold a tune really well too.The Roma has a huge amount of bottom end that can unsettle the car in a heart beat. Also the run time out of the Ison is better too...

I have still yet to see one over here on the tracks , there are a lot of the Novarossi Hardito engines in our GT Class , they are a great value 7 port motor with similar specs to the n21 - 7 port. Guys are having a lot of success with these.

Hi guys, bought a 2nd hand gt2, unfortunately with the old finger type 2 speed, blue chassis. Will replace the tranny. I Have gone through the entire thread and now have forgotten everything I need to know No seriously learnt a lot of great things and thanks to all the gt guys who have posted such informative stuff, Ok couple of things I would like to clear up,
1. Where are you guys getting the straight cut diff gears from?
2. I can find very few k-factory type hinge pins (a couple on ebay), is there a secret abundant source of them somewhere that is eluding me? Is there another alternative to the dreaded e clip pins besides the k-factory?
3. I have read that the 777 chassis and steering setup is the go, does the new race spec (black chassis) and steering equal the 777 upgrade?
Finally are the centre 777 drive shafts (front & rear) the same length as the race spec chassis?
