Default Is Serpent still popular now a day?

Hi Guys! I am new to this forum and I have some question regarding Serpent. I am a big serpent fan and I used to have a Vector V-Series. However, I sold it due to the cost of it, but now my addiction comes back and I want to get a 950R. I called into a shop that I used to order my car from and they are no longer dealing with Serpent. They sell other company's on road car instead. I also search for other places, and they mostly just carry Kyosho and so on. Any idea? Any suggestion as to where I can get a good deal for the 950R with pipe, header, and RB C5 ? Thanks.

by the way, serpent is still a popular car. and contrary to popular belief which was true in the past, the cost of the parts for serpent nowadays are very competitive and about the same as the other popular kits.

Serpent took a big hit with the Veteq car. It was too expensive and never ran right. People got tired of the new car of the week Serpent was into. Many switched to Mugen and found it to be a better car. Serpent has gotten much better today with the 950R and the 710.

Check out www.ashfordhobby.com They strictly sell nitro cars and parts and are reasonably priced. They are helpful with info too.
