No one really makes anything for the NTC3 anymore. The car has been discontinued for at least 2 years and it is not beneficial for a company to make upgrade parts for a car that old and not raced anymore. Seriously, you might want to look at the touring cars from Xray, Mugen, Kyosho, Sheperd, Capricorn, or even Serpent. These cars have many carbon fiber parts and hop parts being made for them.

BERT races the Ntc3 !!! I qualified first in the Cmain at FBF, and would have won the main if my Pitman didn't messup at the beginning of the race, and that's against other racers with Xrays that practice ten times more than I do....
I also ran the crappy R5n body, and too hard and too small Gq tires....

Here is the video... I came in first at some point, but blew a turn or two and hit the boards hard , bending my rear hinge pin....

I took the lead at the 3:08 mark but blew the turn.... As you can see, my car was faster than the others, eventhough it handled poorly for my first race.... It will get better for sure....

Bertandsv87:

Can you post some pics of your car and explain in more detail what mods you have done? It is the 66th anniversary of Roswell and Team Associated nicknamed the NTC3 Roswell and Area-51

Sorry , my phone can't post pictures.... I've tried over and over and gave up.... The mods are not extraordinary though
....
LCD's (losa3344) in the front /front spool
I lowered all the arm mounts as low as possible.
19lbs springs all around, but now I switched to 17lbs rear and 13.333lbs(tamiya yellow) fronts.
I put some Ofna diff lock lube inside the clutch bell for a more snappy clutch(3shoe AE).
I run a titanium Niftech shaft with aluminum front input cup.
Acer Bearings and balls in the diff+ ceramic balls in the two speed.
P56n body now, but I had the R5n body in the video.
Abmods jlr tuned motor, and gq Tires but I switched to hot race Tires....
I also am going to cut my manifold 7mm for more top end...
Jr servos hv (0.06sec) throttle(reversed) and steering.

I also run 80wt oil all around with tamiya shocks, and the upper arms at their highest positions front and rear....
I have the kfactory shock tower up front too, and 6 of caster now, but 9 in the video...

Thanks... I doubt Team Associated will bother with another nitro tourer. If anything the re-entry of HPI/Hot Bodies to the market with the new R10 has proven not to be as popular as they had all those years ago with the R40 taking for a longer return on investment for them.

It might be better to make some changes to the current NTC3, but it has been so long since the Ver2.0 was released and no team drivers driving it I just don't see it happening.

I hope to do a little better next time out, but I feel that most folks running the Car spend too much money on junk electronics, bodies, Tires, etc, and then blame the Car for not performing like an Xray.... Buy the best stuff possible first, and then if you can't compete, get another Car, but you''ll save on the electronics, body,etc... For me, it will be the Ntc3 for life, and I will find the setup that makes it shine....
