Default On road nitro chassis

I'm working on a recently acquired Ofna LD3. Much to my chagrin I've discovered it has a bent chassis. This brings to mind a question: why do on road nitro cars have metal chassis vs on road electrics G10 or graphite? Thanks, Don

Heat dissipation mainly. CF doesnt dissipate heat nearly as well as aluminum. Besides, if a CF chassis took a hit that would bend an aluminum chassis, the CF chassis would not bend, but it would still be needed to replace it, CF doesnt bend, but it does "shatter" when hit hard enough.

If you need a new chassis, check Ofnawarehouse.com. They still stock plenty of parts for the LD3, and even offer the CD3 conversion kit for cheap ($40)
