Balestri told me that it is an issue with the Evo1 which was improved on the Evo2 (tighter measurements on screw holes).
Anyway, I would also go with a NT1 or a G4+ or G4RS 09. Both are easy to maintain and a dream to drive
As I'm driving the KM H-K1 I will pick up a G4RS09 and make some comparison tests in 2013
Hi Italboy

I was thinking more about this and i am using the Side Battery Conversion on my H-K1 Evo and i am loosing screws out of the rear of the radio tray where it mounts into the new alloy parts for the side battery conversion which is the same as the Evo II... So i can't see how they have made any inprovement in this area with tolerences like Dario is suggesting. Unless they changed it for the Evo II which i have just done $140 dollars being a test dummy as a consumer again

We just had our Australian National Titles this weekend at my club Englamd Park here in Brisbane. One of our local club members with an 8 year old Mugen made the A main, just goes to show what hard work and local knowledge does if you persist with something long enough.

Hi Andrew

This is also a point where I must say, is it really necessary to get everytime a new car, just to be the one with the newest car on the track? I think not.
The top level drivers are do so, but just for marketing reasons.
For a "normal" racer it will be painful to learn the car's handling every year!

For me the H-K1 is a good car. The only hardly thing is the reliability of that car.
And this is the reason, why I still trust on the G4RS's qualities.

Hey now your getting personal...

I am a R/C connoisseur and have a lovely better half (Albertine) who supports my hobby and purchasing habbits.

Don't feel very good when i don't get good value for money though.

I agree that the Xray is hard to beat... easy to build and really good on track performance and reliability. This makes it hard to beat for the price, but you never know that something else might be even better again and this is where my problem lies

Blis (Harry) has found it with Capricorn and i am pleased that he and his son Luke are making headways with it and seeing results.

I think i will sit under a tree and watch a cow eat the grass

I assume that the NT1 is the only car which is driveable without any problems out of the box.
And passing time with the NT1 to find the perfect set-up it will be unbeatable.
Therefore I would say, keep the NT1 and just drive, without thinking that something would be better than this.

Do you still have the EvoII?

Dear Rummy Koala!

You and Richard are special for doing what you did on the Saturday of the nats. Please allow Luke to finish your C02 build, we will donate any of the missing parts. I will put a freshly run-in GRP with a smooth power-band, set it up so it's easy to drive, put some free tyres and free fuel in it and only then...

You can sit sit under a processed tree called the "England Park Drivers Stand" and watching others "eat the grass" on our infield and so we can put a huge smile on the wonderful wonderful Abby!!

Bring it to the track tonight... we'll stop by, not racing for a while as Luke is headed to the Worlds as a Capricorn RC Australia team assistant.

Italboy, still have a huge soft spot for the TM's but the Capricorn is in a different class of car, Nt1's are awesome, C02's are better!

Hi

Yes i do, actually last night i cracked open the seal on the box and looked at the manual (paper like Evo1 ))

I made a few changes to the Xray from standard setup and learnt alot from Harry (Blis) and it now handles very well with the Hyper 12 i had in it. I think going to a quicker motor and i would need to make further changes. But in the end the Hyper 12 has seen better days.
